SMS Opt-In Consent Script
Last updated: August 2026
Overview
Ombracol Communications LLC provides outsourced business development center (BDC) services to automotive dealerships in the United States. As part of that service, Ombracol agents speak by phone with a client dealership’s customers — for example, to confirm a sales inquiry or schedule a service appointment. When a customer may benefit from text updates, the agent obtains verbal consent using the script below before enrolling the customer in SMS messaging.
Verbal Consent Script
Before enrolling a customer in text updates, the agent reads the following, verbatim:
“Would you like to receive text updates about your appointment from [Dealership Name] via Ombracol? By saying yes, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at ombracol.com/terms and ombracol.com/privacy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.”
The customer is enrolled only after an affirmative “yes” response. A “no” or non-response is treated as a decline, and the customer is not enrolled.
Disclosures Included
- Brand identification (dealership name, via Ombracol)
- Message frequency varies
- Message and data rates may apply
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time
